Other Effects[edit | edit source]

Buildup[edit | edit source]

Buildup is an aspect of on-hit effects, most commonly Hex and DoT effects inflicted by Weapons, Enemies and Skills.

In order for an Effect to be applied, it must reach 100% buildup. If the effect is applied again when the target is already inflicted, it will refresh the timer on the effect.

Each time an effect is applied, the buildup from the weapon/skill/enemy is added to the current total, until it reaches 100%. So for example a Weapon which has an effect with 60% buildup, it will takes two hits to apply, and then subsequent hits will refresh the timer.

If an Effect is not yet applied, its buildup will slowly fall down to 0% over time. It takes around 20 to 30 seconds to fall from 99% to 0%. Once it reaches 100%, it will no longer fall back down.

On this Wiki, if the buildup is not mentioned, it may be safe to assume that the buildup is 100% every hit. This is common with Skills.
